Posters
The
one-page document describes what the poster would present. This document will
use the same template as the regular papers. This document will not be used in
actual poster presentation but for archive purposes.
ACM Classification
Your
authors should apply ACM Computing Classification categories and terms. The
templates provide space for this indexing and point authors to the Computing
Classification Scheme at: http://www.acm.org/about/class/1998.
You
should examine the Classification Scheme yourself in some detail in order to
give specific direction to your authors, suggesting which areas of the Scheme
they should look at closely to find appropriate categories.
Example:
C.2.1 Network Architecture and Design
Keywords
You
may select any keywords your paper want to be indexed with.
Title
Please
make sure that the first character of the title of your paper is in UPPERCASE.
Files to Submit
1.
Source
files: We need the Word (.doc) or Latex (tex) files
for each submission. Please make sure that your paper is formatted for US
letter (8.5 in. by 11 in.).
2.
PDF
files
3.
ACM
copyright form
Page Numbers, Headers
and Footers
Your
final submission SHOULD NOT contain any footer or copyright string information
in the footer area, headers or page numbers (but the correct ACM copyright
notice should appear on the first page in the lower-left). The papers will be
paginated in a determined order by the chairs and added to the bottom upon
finalization.
Editing (For .doc users)
a.
Use the Word document template provided. The template contains the correct
copyright block and information.
b.
Name your .doc file using your CFI Paper # with the lead author's last name
(example: CFI055- jongwon.doc). Be sure to format your document for American
Letter (8-1/2x11). Please check that your submission adheres to the set page
limit for your type of submission. Check PCS for your submission id #.
c.
To convert your document file to PDF, please refer to the
following link: http://www.acm.org/publications/WORD%20to%20PDF%20instructions.txt. The optimal distiller
setting is found on this link: http://www.acm.org/publications/ACM.joboptions.
This is done to ensure that the Type 1 fonts will be embedded in the PDF.
d.
Also, please print, sign, and date the ACM copyright form and submit an
electronic copy.
*Note:
Only one form is usually needed and can be signed by the lead or contact
author. A second form may be requested from co-authors depending on any US
government affiliations.
Editing (for LaTeX users)
a.
Use the Latex template provided. All files must be formatted using the ACM
Proceedings class file. The Latex file contains the correct copyright block and
information.
b.
LaTex user, you MUST use Type 1 fonts for your
submission, for help please see: http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/sigfaq.htm#a14.
If
you still have difficulty check with your system administrator. PDF LaTex can be used to create a pdf
file for your submission, but all fonts MUST be embedded. If all the fonts are
not embedded in the pdf you submit, we will distill
the mandatory PS file that is submitted. Be sure to see the recommendations for
your figures and images above (item #D).
c.
Please include all text (including references from the .bbl
file) into one complete .tex document. We do not want
a directory of multiple files, only one .tex file
with all text from your submission. We do need the figures, since we may
recompile your submission to put updated crdata. We
may use the one (single-complete) source file to extract text and data that we
need to complete the metadata for the ACM digital library.
d.
Name your .tex, .pdf, and .ps file using your CFI Paper # with the lead author's last
name (example: CFI055-jongwon.tex / CFI055-jongwon.pdf and .ps).
Be sure to format your document for American Letter (8-1/2x11). Please check
that your submission adheres to the set page limit for your type of submission.
e.
Also, please print, sign, and date the ACM copyright form and submit an
electronic copy.
*Note:
Only one form is usually needed and can be signed by the lead or contact
author. A second form may be requested from co-authors depending on any US
government affiliations.
