Title: Introduction to SDI (Software Defined Infrastructure)
Abstract:
Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) is a new buzz word which includes Computing, Storage, Networking and Management in software-defined approach. After a successful deployment of SDN/NFV(Software Defined Networking / Network Function Virtualization) and Cloud Computing. Continued technology evolution embraces new open source software and hardware such as Docker, Mesos, software-defined storage, etc,. The goal of SDI is to enable users to describe their expectations of IT in a systematic way, which in turn drives automation of the infrastructure. The ultimate goal of the software-defined environment is to yield an application-aware infrastructure that captures workload requirements and deployment best practices, provides policy-based automation across data center environments, and includes analytics to optimize in real time.
