Title: Emerging Infrastructures for African NRENs

Abstract:
The growth of African NRENs has been slowed by access to affordable highspeed broadband connectivity. There has however been dramatic change in recent years and the presentation is an overview of the ICT infrastructure and connectivity options now available. It describes some exciting initiatives aimed at closing the gap that has stymied productivity and kept Africa outside the mainstream of knowledge and information production.
