YangHee Choi

Yanghee Choi received B.S. in electronics engineering from Seoul National University, M.S. in electrical engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science, and Doctor of Engineering in Computer Science from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications (ENST) in Paris, in 1975, 1977 and 1984 respectively. He is now leading the Multimedia and Mobile Communications Laboratory in Seoul National University. He is also director of Computer Network Research Center in Institute of Computer Technology (ICT). He served as the associate dean of research affairs at Seoul National University. He was president of Open Systems and Internet Association of Korea. He was president of Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers. He was also dean of Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology (http://gscst.snu.ac.kr/ ), and president of Advanced Institutes of Convergence Technology (AICT, http://aict.snu.ac.kr ). He is a member of Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK). He is chair of the special committee on Convergence Technology at KAST. He is also a member of President’s Council on Informatization Strategies (CIS). He is now the chair of Future Internet Forum (http://www.fif.kr ). His research interest lies in the field of Future Internet, multimedia communications and wireless networking.
